Committee Members

There are 32 committee members so far.

The committee includes municipal officials of Saint John, Grand-Bay-Westfield, Quispamsis, and Rothesay. They are the decision-makers who can implement or amend by-laws and policies to remove systemic barriers for women.

The committee also includes leaders of community organizations. They are the visionaries who can create programs and projects to help lift up women in the Greater Saint John area.

The committee members come from diverse backgrounds. Altogether, they have decades of experience working on public policy as well as socio-economic issues such as poverty, addiction, and domestic violence.

What makes this initiative stand out is it starts with the marginalized individual first and stays hyper-focused on systemic change at the local level.

Only by knowing their real stories can we tear down what’s really holding them back in their own community.
